"Oh, she is though!" Korisse smiled fondly. "And she can be so serious sometimes.... it reminds me of Obern."

"I can see it," Hettie smiled. "You oughta bring her by sometime. I don't have enough littles in my life. Although Thierry's missus is gettin' close!"

"Oh yes!" Korisse smiled again. "I suppose if you're not working this week it will be easier as well - she's at her best in the morning, and it might be too early if you've had a late night." She paused, looking thoughtful. "Is your niece still staying with you? I wouldn't want Marie to bother her."

Korisse looked vaguely concerned. "Oh well... she does get into everything..." She shook her head. "I'm sorry, you know what little are like, I know. I try not to be one of those mothers who's... well, she's all I have. I worry too much, I know..." She smiles wanly, hoping she hadn't offended her friends and also trying not to be too depressing. "How about third-day? I should be able to clear my morning."

Hettienne grinned cheerfully. "It's a date! Don't you worry none, I know what they're like."

The two friends continued their chat until Korisse had to dash back to her studio. Smile
