Kallista watched Tzesira stalk out the door from her undignified position on the floor. As the door slammed closed, Kallista sprang to her feet. There was definitely something wrong. Even for Tzesira that had been aggressive.

"Sorry again..." she muttered towards Delona's cocoon as she slinked out the door behind her friend, heedless of the bitter cold. She quickly caught up to her and tried to stop her by putting a hand lightly on her shoulder.

"Hey..." she said, concern evident in her voice, "What's wrong? Talk to me. Are you okay?"

She checked herself from whirling around when she felt the hand on her shoulder, knowing it would be Kallista even before she spoke. She didn't think she could explain, even if she wanted to, the cycle of negativity she was trapped in, or its source. She felt like a failure - out of control. Instead she lifted the outreached hand from her person, without looking back. "K - I mean this in the nicest way, but can you please just fuck off?"

Kallista stepped back, withdrawing her hand as though it had been stung. Tzesira's rejection was not what she had expected, and she was genuinely confused as to the turn of events.

"I just... I just want to help." she said with concern.

She growled, spinning around. "Then is it so hard to fucking *listen?* FUCK OFF!"

She hissed in frustration, at herself as much as anything, when she saw the look of hurt confusion on Kallista's face. But she knew she didn't have it in her to be calmer, or more rational, and to keep from lashing out further, so she slipped back into the Shadows and drew herself off, up to the top of one of the upper cabins. The winter winds cut bitterly at her exposed skin, and she welcomed their chilling embrace.

Kallista stood dumbstruck on the deck of the airship, watching her friend stalk off. For a long while she simply stood there in the cold wind, blinking back tears of confusion.

After a time her teeth began to chatter and her skin burned with the chill of the winter air, so she turned and headed back inside the cabin to huddle by herself beneath her blankets.

This time it wasn't nearly as warm.
